This is our Weekly Update for the week of November 17th-21st. We have a lot going on this week as we finish our last full week of November. Here is a list of events happening this week.
Progress Reports will go home on Tuesday. Please check your child's folder or backpack for their progress report. We will only have 4 weeks left of the 2nd quarter until the Christmas Holiday.
Thursday is Math Night/Fall Festival. We will have many math activities and games available to families and students. Please come out and participate. While you are there students and families can participate in Hayrides, Bounce Houses, various vendors set up, and Food Trucks. The vendors and food trucks will give a portion of their proceeds back to the school.
Friday is our Blast Off Day. We will have our Turkey Trot, which costs $5 to participate. Students will trot around the course, receive hot chocolate, and a completion ribbon. The money will be used for testing rewards, end-of-nine-weeks awards, and attendance rewards. Please help support our school and students.
On Friday, we will also have our Student of the Month Celebrations, BIZI store, and our Attendance Reward for November.
We are still collecting donations for the Sulzbacher Center to assist those in need over the holidays. Toiletry items are appreciated.
Also, we are collecting candy for our Math Night. Donations can be dropped off in the front office!
Looking forward to another great week! We can't wait to see everyone on Monday morning!
Happy Sunday, RHP Families!
There is no school on Monday, November 10th, and Tuesday, November 11th. All students and faculty will return to campus on Wednesday, November 12th. We hope you enjoy this small break and the cooler weather on the way. Since is a shorter week we do not have any major events happening this week.
However, we will send out flyers about a few upcoming events on Wednesday. We will send out fliers for our Fall Festival and Math Night that will take place on Thursday, November 20th, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. The event is free, but food and other items from various vendors will be available for purchase. We will have games, bounce houses, face painting, hay rides, and more. The other event will be our annual Turkey Trot on Friday, November 21st. The cost is $5. The event will include the trot, turkey run ribbons, and hot chocolate. All the money collected will go to support student rewards for testing and attendance.
Starting on Wednesday, we will collect various hygiene items for the Sultzbacher Center for the holiday season. We will collect items such as soap, deodorant, socks, shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, baby powder, and more. For all of our students who bring those items in they will receive 25 extra BIZI points. Please help us by donating. Last year our school was a major contributor to the Sultzbacher Center.
Enjoy this long weekend! Stay warm and we will see everyone on Wednesday morning!

Welcome Back! I hope you had a nice weekend and remembered to turn your clocks back an hour. We are starting a brand new month as we say hello to November. This week is slow and steady and we welcome that. The last few weeks of October were extremely busy so slowing down is needed.
This week, we will have our PTA/SAC meeting on Tuesday, November 4th, from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm in the Media Center. Come out and see how you can help us organize events that are upcoming.
Our 5th graders that met the 2024-2025 Math FAST Proficiency score as a 4th grader will be invited to the STEM Day at Young Women and Men Leadership Academy on Friday, November 7th. Look for the Field trip form to go home on Monday. Slips must be returned by Thursday the latest.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Have a great evening and we will see everyone on Monday morning!
This is a busy week for Rutledge students, but one that is filled with hard work and fun. Here is the rundown:
This week is Say No to Drugs Week, so we will have a Spirit Week to go along with it. Here are the Spirit Days:

Tuesday is SAC/PTA meeting at 5pm in the Media Center. Please come out and support.
Thursday we will host our Literacy Night. For our PreK through 3rd grade there will be a presentation in the Media Center from the University of Florida Lastinger Center around Reading. They will give lots of ideas and resources for our young people to be successful in reading at an early age. They will also provide dinner, maybe Chick-fil-A!
Starting at 6pm in the cafeteria, there will be Reading Games and Activities from our teachers. This is needed to satisfy our passport and then you qualify for the Trunk or Treat activity in the Bus Loop. Our students and classes will also have pumpkin decorated book characters that will need to be voted on. Please come out and help your child's class win a pizza party!
On Friday we will have our Halloween Blast Off ! This is a busy day. We will start in the morning with our Book Character Parade. The parade starts at 9am, so please make sure your students are on time or they will miss the parade festivities. Afterwards, we will start our BIZI store for students to pick up purchases for great behavior, academics, and attendance. Our October Student of the Month Celebration is at 1:00pm in the Media Center. And to end the day, we will have our "Glow in the Dark" Attend "Dance" party. Students who met the attendance goal of being present 19 out of the 21 days in October will attend for free. Students will receive glow-in-the-dark items, chips, and juice! Then we will send them home to you for Halloween Night fun!
Like I said, this is a busy week, but it should be a lot of fun! We will work hard in the classroom and then set up opportunities for kids to enjoy themselves outside the classroom!
Have a great rest of your weekend and see everyone on Monday morning!

Good evening, Rutledge Pearson Families! This is Principal Adkins with your weekly update for the week of October 13th-17th.
This is a short week for students. Just a reminder that there is no school for students on Monday, October 13th, due to a Teacher Planning Day, and also Tuesday, October 14th, for a Teacher Inservice Day. Students will return to campus on Wednesday, October 15th, which is also the first day of the 2nd nine weeks. Report Cards for the 1st nine weeks will be available on Tuesday, October 21st.
Due to the short week, the only major events we will have are Green Party Rewards during lunch for those who scored in the Green on either their Reading Unit Assessments or their Math Unit Assessments. We will also have our BIZI store deliveries on Friday.
As always, please make sure students are at school and on time each day. We look forward to a great week. We will see each of you on Wednesday! Have a great rest of your weekend and a restful two days off.

This Team Duval Shoutout highlights the incredible work of Keisha Robinson and Stacy Adams, both mentors in the district’s Jacksonville Teacher Residency graduate program. They guide UNF students pursuing education degrees and working toward certification, helping to grow the next generation of teachers. Jennifer Saoud shares that:
- Keisha Robinson is dedicated, reflective, and intentional. She engages in meaningful dialogue with her residents, provides opportunities to lead instruction and practice essential teaching skills, and offers supportive feedback that encourages growth.
- Stacy Adams is a model mentor who makes her residents feel welcomed and part of the classroom community from day one. She fosters a true co-teaching environment, collaborates on instruction and classroom management, and explains the reasoning behind her decisions, offering valuable insight into effective teaching practices.
