We’ve had a great day of learning, and I wanted to make you aware of a precautionary security measure that was briefly implemented this afternoon. The school was placed on a short lockout to allow staff to quickly locate a student who left their classroom without permission.
The student never left campus and was safely located within five minutes. Once the student was found, the lockout was lifted and normal school operations resumed. We are in direct communication with the student’s family to discuss appropriate supports and interventions.
This incident had minimal impact on the school day, but we believe it’s important to keep families informed whenever a security measure is used. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
