Our Charleston Wrap Fall Fundraiser is almost here! Get ready to shop beautiful wrapping paper, gifts, home items, and more—all while supporting our school and students. Our fundraiser officially kicks off Wednesday, August 26th!

Friday was BIZI Payday! Students can shop online in the BIZI store to make their purchases. All shopping needs to be done by Thursday. Students will receive their ordered items on Friday.

Thank you for a great first 3 days! Starting tomorrow(August 13) we will be enforcing our regular safety policies related to entering the school building in addition to other procedures that will contribute to us running smoothly. Please review the flyer for important updates and reminders.

We encourage all families to join the PTA this year. Our PTA plays a vital role in supporting our students, staff, and school community. One of the best ways to get involved is by volunteering. The first step is to complete the volunteer approval process. You can apply online through the DCPS Volunteer Application.
Additionally, please make sure you have created your parent account and linked your student(s). This will allow you to communicate directly with your child's teacher and receive important school information, updates, and announcements throughout the year.

A few friendly reminders for Tuesday & Wednesday: 🎒VPK: Parents may walk students to the classroom door, but may not enter the classroom. 🏫 Kindergarten through grade 5: Parents entering the building may walk students into the main hallway, but may not go down the grade-level hallways. 🚗 Car Riders: Please have your car rider tag visible on your dashboard to help us keep dismissal moving smoothly. The car rider line will move faster as the week goes on. ⏰ Early Checkout: Our cutoff time for early checkout is 2:15 p.m. Thank you for helping us create safe and smooth arrival and dismissal routines for everyone! Day 1 is in the books! 🎉 Now let’s keep Rising, Shining & Soaring! 🦅✨

School is right around the corner, and we are looking for help stocking up on items for the BIZI store. Students earn points each day for on-time attendance, good behavior, and their academic performance. They can use their points to purchase items from the store. Scan the QR code or use the link https://a.co/0eQ0fGzG to purchase items and have them delivered directly to the school. Items can also be purchased from local stores and brought to the school. Check out the list for some of student's favorite things. We appreciate any donations.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - The countdown is on — just ONE month until the first day of school on Monday, Aug. 10. Take small steps now to get ready: Adjust sleep schedules a little each week, gather school supplies and organize backpacks, keep learning going with 20 minutes of reading or math each day, mark important school dates on your family calendar, and start practicing morning routines. We can't wait to welcome everyone back for another amazing year!
