Please remember that there are no student drop-offs or pick-ups allowed on White Avenue in the senior lot. In addition, please do not block the bus loop.
For safety and traffic flow:
--> You cannot access San Diego Road from White Avenue.
--> The southbound lane of White Avenue is currently closed.

We are pleased that FDOT has opened a portion of White Avenue to improve some traffic flow around campus. White Avenue has only the north-bound lane open to traffic. Families may turn right onto White Avenue from San Diego Road only. The lane is not open to families wanting to make a left turn from White Avenue to San Diego Road. Please help keep everyone safe (students, families, and FDOT workers) by using only the north-bound lane for traffic flowing to Atlantic Blvd. Thank you for being so patient as we move through the school year.
Got the first-day jitters? Where do you go at the start of the day? Here is the schedule. Students will report to their 1st period class. We anticipate traffic and bus delays, so we will not go to Homeroom until after 1st block. There will be school-wide information given during the homeroom time.

Student parking is limited. All vehicles parked on the school property must be registered with Douglas Anderson. Parking without a decal is prohibited. August Auditions: If you know a student who is NOT currently enrolled as a DCPS student, and would like to attend DA in the 2025-2026 school year, applications are open for those out-of-county students for the early August (date to be announced later) auditions. Spring Sing is this Friday at 7 p.m. in the DuBow Theatre. This performance features our Eclipse pop-a cappella ensemble and Silhouettes vocal jazz ensemble. We are also excited to have the LaVilla Art Singers and Broadway Bound performing with us! GUITAR STUDENTS SHARE LOVE OF MUSIC – Students in Douglas Anderson School of the Arts’ Guitar Program are hitting all of the right notes as they perform for other students across the district. Members of the school’s Guitar Ensemble recently visited Thomas Jefferson and Lone Star elementary schools, speaking to students about the program and what it is like to attend LaVilla and Douglas Anderson.

On February 20th, experience the 31st Annual Great Guitar Gathering featuring the Maharajah Flamenco Trio. The Douglas Anderson guitar ensemble will play for about 30 minutes, and then the band will play their set.
Dr. Silviu Ciulei is a guitar professor at the University of Florida and the guitarist/singer of the group. We both went to FSU together, and his band formed while they were studying guitar. Siliviu will also host a flamenco workshop for the guitar department on the concert day.
