Dear Cedar Hills Families,
You are probably already aware that our school district has been considering potential school closures and consolidations in response to multiple financial challenges. I’m writing today to inform you that the current version of the proposed plan includes the merger of Hidden Oaks Elementary to our campus for the 2025-26 school year.
At this stage, I just want to make you aware. There will be multiple opportunities to learn more about this proposal and to have your voice heard in the process before the School Board is asked to act on this proposal in November.
If you want to read more details about this situation, I encourage you to see this post on the district website.
In the near future, representative members of our school community will participate in a process to evaluate the impact of this proposal and provide recommendations directly to the superintendent.
As soon as those meetings are scheduled, I will update you. Until then, you know I am always open to personally discuss any aspect of your child’s education here at Cedar Hills Elementary.
Sincerely,
Dr. Marva McKinney
