  • Tuesday – Icon day.

  • Wednesday – Football vs Futbol.

  • Thursday – Urbano.

  • Friday – Wear your Latin American flag.

There will also be a Hispanic Heritage celebration in the courtyard during all lunches on Friday, October 10th.

Come out and support our band at their concert this week on Tuesday, October 7th, at 7pm. Tickets are $5 on GoFan. The concert will feature the Kernan middle school band, the Atlantic Coast Stingray Sound, and the University of North Florida Concert Band.

We are pleased to be offering SAT/PSAT School Day to our students this year. During school on October 22nd, all 9th graders will be taking the PSAT 8/9, all sophomores and juniors will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT, and all seniors who still need a passing reading or math test grade for graduation will be taking the in-school SAT. This is an important testing day for all our students. Please mark it on your calendar. You can help your student be successful by making sure they are well rested, eat a good breakfast, and bring their fully charged laptop to school.

This Wednesday, October 8th, we will be performing a critical school-wide digital readiness check in preparation for our SAT/PSAT day. Please make sure your student is present in school and brings their fully charged laptop to school. On Tuesday evening, students should make sure to plug in their laptops, log in, and then leave the laptop connected so that it can receive important updates. Students can close the lid so the laptop goes into sleep mode but should not log out or shut the laptop down. We appreciate your help in conducting a successful digital readiness check.

The next PERT will be offered on Wednesday, October 29th, after school. PERT is important for students who wish to take dual enrollment classes. It is also one avenue for earning senior leave. Students should check One View for a link to a registration sign-up sheet. The sign-up will be open until Friday, October 24th.

On October 16th, the ACHS School Counseling Team will be hosting a parent night. Please join us to hear about graduation requirements, promotion requirements, post-secondary preparedness, scholarships and more. The session begins at 6pm in the Atlantic Coast Auditorium. Grades 9 – 12 are welcome.
