Laptop Collection will begin Monday, May 19 for all grade levels. Students must return both their laptop and charger. If a charger is missing, there is a $30 fee or you may purchase a 45-Watt USB-C charger online, such as from Amazon.
AP Testing starts tomorrow and continues through Friday, May 16. Students will receive an email with details the day before each test. Please make sure they bring a fully charged device and have the Bluebook app already downloaded.
State Testing Shutdown Week starts Monday, May 12:
Monday, May 12: 9th and 10th graders take the FAST PM3 Reading test. 10th grade students must pass this for graduation.
Wednesday, May 14: Biology and U.S. History End-of-Course exams.
Friday, May 16: Algebra I and Geometry End-of-Course exams.
For all state tests, students must bring a fully charged DCPS laptop. Cell phones, smartwatches, headphones, and other devices will be collected before testing and returned after.
Students in holding areas will be in silent study halls, and there will be no check-outs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on May 12, 14, or 16 due to test security.
Yearbooks are in! We are so proud of the yearbook staff for making this year’s book so amazing! If you pre-purchased one, you can pick it up starting tomorrow, Monday May 5th, in the courtyard outside the windows of Ms. Lakatos’s classroom during lunches. We only have 32 yearbooks left for sale. The cost is $100 cash only.
Juniors! We are hosting our first ever Rising Senior Parent Meeting for the Class of 2026 on May 6th at 6pm in the auditorium. Please make time to join us to learn about how to make the start of your senior year a success.
Are you wanting to run for an SGA class officer position for next school year? If so, please make plans to attend the mandatory meeting after school on May 5th in room 213. This meeting is for any student planning on running for an SGA class officer position for the 2025-2026 school year. Reach out to Ms. Lakatos if you have any questions.
Graduating Seniors:
Official final senior transcripts will be processed around mid-June. Please complete the Final Senior Transcript Form to let us know where to send your ONE official final transcript. If you have not yet completed the form, please do so by May 21, 2025. You can access the form in the Senior Update or your DCPS student email.
If you have not applied for the Florida Bright Futures scholarship, there is still time. Step one is to complete the application. Step 2, continue to work on earning the requirements to qualify.
