Duval County Public Schools is holding a public hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 29 regarding the recommendation to consolidate select schools in 2025-26. This meeting is open to the public and will be held in the district administration building located at 1701 Prudential Drive.
For those wishing to speak, public comment cards will be accepted in the administration building lobby at two different times: from 3-4 p.m. and from 5-6:15 p.m.
Public comment will begin shortly after the meeting begins at 6 p.m. The public hearings for each school consolidation recommendation will follow public comment.

The district is hosting its First Annual CTE Career Academy Showcase on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024 from 8 a.m. to noon at the EverBank Stadium.
On display will be the dozens of career academies and programs available to Team Duval students including cybersecurity, aviation, landscaping, digital marking, cinematic arts, and medical sciences. Come speak with career academy students and learn first-hand how they are gaining real-world skills and job certifications while still in school. Event is free and open to the public. No registration required.
WEATHER MAKEUP DAY UPDATE - Friday, November 1, 2024, which was originally scheduled as a weather day, will now be a regular school day. This is to make up for the two school days that were canceled due to Hurricane Helene. Only one day was needed because there was extra instructional time built into the calendar.
