ASD Endorsement
This course offering is being delayed until the spring 2026 term, which will begin in March. Our ASD Endorsement courses are undergoing state-required revision to align more closely with new standards, the most recent updates to research, and the most current best practices to support this student population. These courses are being condensed to include field study and allow participants to earn the endorsement with 240 hours of coursework instead of the previous 300 hours and to offer teachers the most relevant and practical learning experience possible.
Registration Information
Term dates are listed below. Registration takes place in PowerSchool. All courses are offered through Canvas in a hybrid online format. At least two live learning sessions will be held during the term; instructors may schedule more. Because of the rigor and time commitment required of these 60-hour graduate-level courses and the need to provide opportunities to all DCPS teachers, one course per term is recommended, and a maximum of two courses per term is permitted.
Register in PowerSchool during the registration period listed below. Under Courses, search "endorsement" and look for DCPS Professional Learning courses.
New: Registration for ESOL and Reading Endorsement Courses

Participants will be placed into available and appropriate courses based on current SAP in-service record. Prior to registering for an ESOL or Reading Endorsement course, please review your in-service record to ensure its accuracy.
