Mt. Herman is staffed daily by four registered nurses who provide the following nursing services:
Dispensing medication
First aid
Vital signs
Tube feedings
Nursing assessments
School liaison for physicians, therapists and other health care professionals
Consultations with parents
Teacher/Staff consultations
CPR
Nebulizer treatment
Maintaining health records
Oxygen administration
Review of immunization records
Treatments prescribed by a physician
Tracheotomy care
Mt. Herman nurses will be follow DCPS policy related to COVID-19. If your child has vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, new cough, or a temperature of 100.4 degrees or above, you will be contacted to pick up your child.
