Testing Graduationn Requirements
Statewide assessments that must have a passing grade as part of the graduation requirements
- Grade 10 FAST English Language Arts (ELA) Assessment 
- Grade 10 FAST English Language Arts (ELA) Reading Assessment 
- Grade 10 BEST Writing assessment 
- BEST Algebra 1 End of Course (EOC) Assessment 
Alternate Ways to Meet the Testing Requirement
If a student does not pass the required tests, they may still meet the graduation requirements through:
- Retaking the FAST ELA or Algebra 1 EOC Assessments (offered several times during the school year). 
- Earning a concordant or comparative score on an alternative test such as the SAT, ACT or PSAT. (See Comparative Score Opportunities below.) 
Testing Accommodations and Special Circumstances
- Students with disabilities may be eligible for assessment waivers if their Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) Team determines that they are necessary. 
- English Language Learners (ESOL students) who have been in the program for less than two (2) years may demonstrate proficiency through alternate assessments.
