Welcome to Chets Creek Elementary, a community of learners and leaders dedicated to building Lifelong Relationships, taking Strategic Risks and earning Exemplary Results. For 24 consecutive years, we’ve been a Florida Department of Education “A” rated school and will continue to use the success we have gained to propel us towards an everchanging future. Since the inception of the award in 2017 we have been named a Florida School of Excellence. We have earned recognition as a Florida Purple Star School and as a Florida PBIS Gold Model School.
Our school theme for this year is "From Imagination to Innovation – We Build Bright Minds" encourages students and teachers alike to embrace their creativity and use that to innovate as they build an incredible world of learning and leading.
I am a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and the University of North Florida with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. I have served 33 years as an educator in Duval County Public Schools. As a former Classroom Teacher who helped found Chets Creek Elementary 28 years ago, I have a solid understanding of our foundational commitment to creating a school that could ready every learner for future success.
I look forward to continuing to partner with our stakeholders and welcome new Creekers to continue making Chets Creek Elementary a place where we all feel safe to dream of the unknown, experiment with ideas and experience the thrill of success.
